Some details have just been announced for this year’s must attend event for professional marketeers – the second Edinburgh International Marketing Festival. See below …
Following the huge success of the inaugural Edinburgh International Marketing Festival during August 2010, we are pleased to announce that the next Festival will be held in Edinburgh on 25th August 2011.
This year we seek to build and broaden the appeal of the Festival with a specific and high profile agenda.
The vision of the EIMF is to celebrate the impact of marketing in all its forms throughout our society and the central role that creative agencies and individuals have in delivering this and the importance of this sector in driving both economic and social growth.
Once again founding partners creativebrief, Assembly and The Marketing Society will be working with the main industry associations (including the IPA, AA, DMA, CIPR), together with The City of Edinburgh and Creative Scotland and involving leading brands and agencies, to promote the industry on a global stage.
2011 will see a specific and targeted series of events across one principal day culminating in an industry reception at Waverley Gate in Edinburgh, hosted by creativebrief and EIMF partners, The City of Edinburgh and Creative Scotland.
“We were absolutely delighted with the success of the 2010 Festival in Edinburgh and look forward to building on this success in 2011, providing a major platform for the 2012 Festival. It remains for us important that the impact, influence and potential of marketing throughout society now and in the future is understood and appreciated by the widest possible audience.
“Marketing affects all our lives, every day, and this influence will only grow – that’s why we’re developing this Festival and broadening its reach and subject matter across continents and industries,” comments Tom Holmes, joint founder International Marketing Festival and Chairman of creativebrief.
Whilst Graeme Atha, Director Marketing Society, adds
“The biggest arts festival in the world provides a perfect opportunity for many of the marketing industry bodies to get together to discuss more effective collaboration, debate the big issues and network in one of the most spectacular settings in the city.”
